Hey, man, “tightening up the graphics” is totally a thing.
They aren’t that tight yet, but it’s an improvement. I decided the castle to protect at the end of the line needed to look more impressive, so I made a more complex sprite. I switched out the tower-select system with some icons, though I probably need higher contrast on them. I’ve also animated all the scary critters. I tried out a few looks before I was more-or-less satisfied with this color palette for the first board.
The text-based part of the GUI is default from Gamemaker and I must say it looks really ugly to me. I am sure there is some way to improve it.
I think trees should block some bullet types, but not others. Hm.
